Adele’s Pre-tour Problems

Adele lived with “severe going number 2” before beginning her tour.

The British Hello singer but delighted fans when she announced her intention to tour along with her comeback album 25, thus hitting the road the very first time in several years on Monday night (29Feb16).

But the prospect of entertaining 11,000 devotees with the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, was daunting for Adele.

“This is my very first time that in an arena ever,” she shared. “I have already been s**tting myself right through the day, literally. I’ve had severe pooping. When I came out that f**king stage at night, oh my god God, I thought I was about to die.

“I wakened this morning sounding like Arnold Schwarzenegger. My voice am deep because I slept together with the air con on. And then I had bowel motions because of tonight. Then Gatwick (airport) closed and I thought my boyfriend wasn’t likely to get here in time.”

She even was required to turn to medication to ensure she may get through the show, adding, “I’ve had an Imodium (diarrhoea remedy) so it’s planning to be alright!”

And alright it most likely was, as Adele started the tour in incredible style.

She won rave reviews on her behalf first show, using a reporter for Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper writing, “She remains an excellent singer which has a powerful voice she uses to brilliant effect”, while a critic for The Sun added: “Over 120 minutes Adele proved the reason why she is probably the most successful and celebrated artist of her generation.”

Adele, who wore a custom-made black sequinned Burberry gown to the concert, ensured to keep her vocal cords well lubricated by sipping for my child favourite beverage, a cupful of tea, as she chatted while using audience among tracks.

She will resume the SSE Arena Belfast for any second date on Tuesday night (01Mar16), before selling it to Dublin, Ireland on Friday (04Mar16). She wraps in the European leg of her tour with gigs in Antwerp, Belgium in June (16), before on the way to Saint Paul, Minnesota to file for her North American dates in July (16).
