Ed Sheeran has been trying with regard to five years to property a cameo role within TV show Game of Thrones.

During a panel chat in the 2017 South by South west (SXSW) Festival in Tx in March, the show’s creator David Benioff introduced that the Thinking Out Loud vocalist had been given a small part within the upcoming season seven. This individual explained they had been focusing on securing his appearance for a long time as actress Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Large, is a big fan.

Sheeran has now revealed that he’s already been trying to get on the show because 2012, when his buddie Gary Lightbody, from Snowfall Patrol, had a cameo and Ed asked the actual rocker to help him have one too.

“My friend guested in it in 2012 and i also remember I was on trip with him and he had been like: ‘Right, I’ve obtained a guest slot upon Game of Thrones’. I recall saying: ‘You got to obtain me on it at some point, ‘” he recalled, according to the Every day Star newspaper. “It’s already been five years so it’s lastly come true. ”

According to the distribution, the 26-year-old filmed moments alongside Maisie in Nov and he always has the opportunity to return in the future because his personality doesn’t get killed away.

“I don’t die inside it, I don’t die, inch he explained. “I’m just in it for like 5 minutes. I’d probably would rather have sex than die within the show. I’m sure a lot of people enjoy that (have sex as well as die) but I’m not really. ”

At SXSW, Benioff explained, “For years, all of us tried to get Ed Sheeran on the show to shock Maisie, and this year we lastly did it. ”

Ed isn’t very the only new famous encounter on the show – John Broadbent has joined the actual cast in a regular part.
