Gwen Stefani is “just wanting to have fun” following a breakdown of her marriage to Gavin Rossdale, admitting life “blew up during my face”.
The Hella Good singer dropped the divorce bombshell in August (15), announcing her near 13-year marriage to Bush frontman Gavin was over.
She subsequently poured her heart outside in the lyrics and tearful video for my child new single, Used to Love You, through which she sings in regards to a love split, and she or he recently told U.S. breakfast show Today that it was a “very real” reflection of her emotional state.
The mother-of-three has now revealed she didn’t even wish to head into your studio when she wrote the track because she am heartbroken.
“On how into the studio the very first time, I didn’t wish to go,” she tells U.S. radio host and The Voice presenter Carson Daly. “I wanted to be within my bed, like, crying. And I did, I cried all just how down to Santa Monica (in California), driving to Santa Monica, and I was like, ‘What am I doing? Why am I accomplishing this?'”
She eventually put pen to paper to spell out her troubles in song, once her creativity started flowing, she couldn’t stop.
“That sense of being able to write again, that’s everything in my experience,” she says. “My value on myself is actually by songwriting… I think within 2 months I had 19 songs… I was like, ‘Listen all I wanna do is I just desire to say reality. I just want the reality to come out. I just would like to be honest and real’.”
In addition to her music, Gwen in addition has turned to partying to help remedy her stress and she or he was spotted attending George Clooney’s Halloween bash in Los Angeles on Friday (30Oct15) together with her The Voice co-hosts Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
Used To Love You
The 46 year-old admits her life has completely changed since parting ways with Gavin, but this lady has decided to embrace her new single status and simply enjoy herself while she will.
“My own life is so extreme at this time,” the singer continues. “My life basically blew up during my face. And now I’m within this new life, and it’s really pretty awesome I have to convey – I’m so inspired being back on the show (The Voice), and being in a brand new place. Everything just feels new. I just feel inspired. I don’t know how else to go into detail it…
“I was literally that party girl that you just hear about when their life fills up, and you’re simply like, ‘Yeah! I’m going out! Like, watch me!’ We’re just seeking to have fun, you recognize?”
