Gwen Stefani continues to be “picking within the pieces” of her shattered marriage to Gavin Rossdale, despite finding love with Blake Shelton.
The Misery singer stunned fans in August when she announced her separation from her husband of 13 years amid rumours of his infidelity. She ventured into Blake, her fellow coach on U.S. talent show The Voice, for comfort when he was also newly-single following his July divorce from Miranda Lambert, in addition to their friendship turned romantic in October.
The adjustments to her personal life inspired the mother-of three to pour out her heart for my child new solo album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, reportedly touching for my child divorce inside the song Red Flag, and to be with her blossoming relationship with Blake in Make Me Like You.
However, Gwen admits she continues to be reeling inside from your heartbreak of her marriage split as she efforts to navigate life being a single mum.
“It’s still painful, I’m still studying the pieces going, ‘What is occurring?,'” she told U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America. “There’s countless great things, however it is still super tough to, like, have your household break up. What do you do there after? It’s like, ‘Here were, we’re performing it.'”
Gwen refused to wallow in self pity and instead focused her attention on writing new material to assist her recover from her love loss, and he or she believes things happen for just a reason.
“I already went through a lot but I sense that, you need to be grateful with the, since if I didn’t achieve that, then I wouldn’t have this, and it is like, you must be grateful like it,” she continued.
“I felt like I was so… I was embarrassed and I was like, ‘Wow, I can’t decrease, this may not be who I am, I am not gonna fail,'” she recalled. “I were forced to make something good from the jawhorse, so I experimented with write, because I know that that’s my gift, and I was like, ‘I’m gonna make this happen, I’m gonna get this to into music.'”
She concluded, “It seems like I’m said to be doing this right this moment and sharing my story.”
