James Corden finds it flattering that Justin Bieber is usually a regular guest on his talk show.
The British host on the U.S. television programme The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS, has great camaraderie together with the 22-year-old popstar and freely admits to owning a “Bieber bromance”.
James, 37, thinks the Sorry singer “really shines” in the guest appearances around the show, particularly if he joins in about the Carpool Karaoke segment where popstars sing along to their own personal greatest hits in James’ car.
“It’s been so excellent to form a wonderful working relationship with him. It’s a two-way partnership built on respect,” James told Britain’s Heat magazine, adding that Justin has created four appearances for the show. “It’s very flattering to find out him dealing with us in interviews and praoclaiming that him doing Carpool Karaoke has helped modify the public perception of him.”
James adds that Carpool Karaoke, that has become a pop culture phenomenon and featured the kind of superstars Stevie Wonder, Adele and Jennifer Lopez, goes over all what he wants the show to get about.
“(That is), allowing you being shown in your best,” he was quoted saying. “We only would love you to shine.”
James, who first shot to fame from the British sitcom Gavin & Stacey, also stated although he was elated when Mariah Carey consented to come around the show, she didn’t quite keep the concept of Carpool Karaoke to start with.
“When she arrived, the very first thing she said was, ‘I do not have to sing do I?'” laughed James.
While James is thrilled that his show is such as success, he tells it’s hard work making shows 4x a week and likens the knowledge to creating a day-to-day newspaper.
“The best and worst thing is the fact that there’s yet another one the next day,” he shared. “When one does one that’s great, it’s almost harder, while you think, ‘We need to do one as effective as that tomorrow.'”
