Singer Lana Del Rey wanted viewers to think that they had stepped into a French Impressionist artwork by painter Claude Monet at the her tunes video.

Earlier soon, the 30-year-old released the promo on her behalf single Freak, which features within the star’s fourth studio album Honeymoon.

And filming the background music video became a family affair, as her sister took an engaged role within the production.

“The whole thing was inspired using a moving Monet,” Lana told Billboard before detailing how her sister and also other friends contributed to the project. “We were shooting using a couple of special cameras and shooting all things in slow motion and choosing a lot of time to colour it.”

The 11-minute long music video centres with a group of people whorrrre experiencing a dreamy trip in California while consuming a psychedelic drug referred to as acid. Fellow musician Father John Misty stars from the promo with Lana and also the pop star is satisfied she finally had the opportunity collaborate with him.

“I wanted Father John Misty to behave with me and that he was nice enough to accept to be my idol,” Honeymoon singer smiled.
Lana currently is preparing to tour the planet, performing shows at music festivals much like the Park Live Festival in Moscow, Russia on 10 July (16). Playing at festivals is just one of her favourite adventures, because Summertime Sadness hitmaker experiences tremendous freedom during these types of environments.

“The festivals would be the most fun,” she gushed. “It’s open air, there won’t be bouncy walls therefore the sound is amazing and everyone will there be to party. Everyone is within a good mood.”
