Liam Hemsworth is convinced his previous split from on/off girlfriend Miley Cyrus was “what had to happen” since they were both too young for marriage.

The Hunger Games star met and fell excited about Miley about the set of 2010’s The Last Song, plus they became engaged in June, 2012.

The relationship didn’t last and so they called off the engagement in 2013, but despite their young ages, Liam insists he knew it turned out right for them for being together.

“I guess when I feel something, then I just feel it and I do it,” he tells GQ Australia. “I make my decisions about and what will make me happy, what I think is appropriate and what I wish to accomplish – and I don’t get worried too much beyond that.”

Liam admits splitting in the Wrecking Ball hitmaker was hard for the both of which, even so the time apart was necessary.

“Of course it turned out hard, man,” he continues. “But right at that moment we were going into different directions and it is just what necessary to happen. We were both super young and it had been a good decision at that time – both of us needed that.”

The couple rekindled its relationship late a year ago, and from now on the stars have returned together, they’ve already decided to keep their romance as low key as is possible, although Liam accepts their fans will forever know what’s up.

“People will figure it out, they already have…” he adds. “They’re not dumb.”

Liam has previously talked about becoming more private to maintain the peace in your house.

“I just find it’s simpler to not speak about my personal life because usually I say an unacceptable thing, thus it ends up just complicating things more,” he told Entertainment Tonight latest research by. “So, I feel like it’s don’t to mention it.”
