Miranda Lambert made history in Sunday night’s (02Apr17) Schools of Country Music Honours when she became the actual first-ever singer to succeed the Female Vocalist of the Yr gong eight years operating.

The 33-year-old songstress offers won the award each year since 2009 and linked for the honour with Reba McEntire in 2016. This season it was all Miranda although, with the Little Red Truck star beating Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini and Maren Morris to become named the winner.

Using to the stage to accept the reward, Miranda praised her other female country singers creating a name for themselves in the industry, informing the audience: “Thank a person so much guys. It really indicates the world to me. Carrie can easily see me under the table. We have agreed on that! I’m simply glad to see females throwing ass these days. I’m therefore proud to be a part of which. So cheers to all people girls out there dreaming. Many thanks fans, thanks ACMs, because of my family and friends… I really like you all. ”

Miranda, who attended the wedding ceremony at Las Vegas’ T mobile Arena with boyfriend Anderson East, also took house the Album of the Yr prize for her record The of These Wings.

Despite losing out on the Female Vocalist of the Yr prize, Maren still experienced a victorious evening because she went home using the New Female Vocalist from the Year award.

Over within the male front, Jason Aldean was awarded the Entertainer of the Year gong, whilst Jon Pardi was given the New Male Vocalist from the Year prize.

It was a large night for Thomas Rhett, who was named Male Singer of the Year and also received the award for Track of the Year for their track Die a Happy Guy.

Florida Georgia Line required home the Single Record from the Year prize for their monitor H. O. L. B., and also were presented with the actual gong for Vocal Occasion of the Year for their track May We All.
