Taylor Swift used her Grammys speech to handle her ongoing feud with Kanye West on “her own terms”, a resource says.

When Taylor won the Grammy for Album of the Year earlier this year (Feb16), beating both Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd, she created a rousing speech during which she called out rapper Kanye for including a crude line about her in the new song Famous.

While accepting her award to be with her album 1989, the 26-year-old beauty designed a point of urging ladies not be sidetracked by naysayers.

“I am getting at to all the young ladies out there: There are usually people as you go along who will try and undercut your ability to succeed or take credit on your accomplishments or maybe your fame,” she said.

Now, according to a resource close to the Bad Blood singer, the complete speech was planned to rebuke 35-year-old Kanye.

“She (Taylor) was not wanting to give his comments oxygen, but knew she’d be asked about them, and wanted to handle them by hand terms,” the original source told Britain’s Grazia magazine.

They also said Taylor is resolute to turn the Kanye situation into something positive but has urged her friends in their own “squad” to settle clear of the daddy of two.

“Her speech was designed to make a negative to a positive, by empowering her fans.

“(Taylor) is really a vocal champion of female solidarity and has now made it clear to her friends that Kanye’s latest stunt is entirely unacceptable, an incompatible with everything she promotes,” they added.

However, the original source also admitted that Taylor did enjoy herself in the Grammy Awards, notwithstanding the ongoing drama.

“Taylor has channelled everything into 1989 winning Best Album, and she or he was understandably upset that Kanye had detracted from her big night – again. Luckily she had her friend Selena Gomez and her manager there to cheer her up, along with the night ended with a high,” the cause recalled.

While Taylor apparently forgave Kanye to the stunt he drawn in 2009 when he stormed the MTV Video Music Awards and cut the performer off as she was accepting an award, she would not be so kind later on.

“Taylor was gracious enough to forgive Kanye once, but she will not be fooled a second time,” the cause noted.
