Singer Zayn Malik did not know what to do when Taylor Swift praised his debut album.

The 23-year-old released Mind of Mine in March, and also the project immediately became a huge hit with fans helping it storm to # 1 of the charts world wide, even so the former One Direction star admits all of the attention would be a little a lot of at times – particularly if it originated from someone like Taylor.

“I don’t get much feedback from my peers,” he told Dazed magazine. “I spoke somewhat to Taylor… at (girlfriend) Gigi’s (Hadid) house; we briefly spoke and he or she told me she really enjoyed the album. It was nice to obtain some feedback. She said she thought I was cool and I sort of blushed somewhat and didn’t learn how to take it.”

The latest interview – conducted before another panic attack forced She singer to cancel a gig with the CapitalFM Summertime Ball in London – also gives fans a glimpse to the singer’s discomfort with all the level of fame he’s achieved in five short years.

“I haven’t done much acclimatin’,” he confessed. “I’m just staying the way in which I am. I think that’s the obvious way to keep your sanity. You’ve got a chance to hold on to what you really are and not let things are able to your head, if you do, that’s when everything comes crashing down terribly.”

Zayn attempts to maintain a feeling of normality by not gonna every single showbiz party he’s invited to, preferring to pay time with Gigi, 21, friends.

“I don’t have a tendency to go out much,” he was quoted saying. “I stay with my own bubble, which is. Creatively and socially, I think, as I’m growing older, that’s precisely the way I am.”

This means Zayn are able to keep his head down while focusing on his music – he revealed she has already started develop his second solo album.

“I’m just attempting to do an increasing number of,” he was quoted saying. “I’m excited to acquire more associated with every method that I can… I just want to obtain down to every piece of information. That’s my progression, learning my craft as being a solo artist. I’m form of itching a small amount. I want to work.”
