Nick Jonas began his Live In Concert tour Sunday (Aug. 8) inside the Dominican Republic and discovered himself some cheerleaders that can help celebrate the tour’s opening night. He performed OMI‘s chart-topping single “Cheerleader” and fans managed to make it obvious the song isn’t only popular within the U.S.

Before Jonas could possibly sing the song’s full first verse, fans took over singing the tune so loud that it is hard to hear Jonas within the audience. With or without Jonas’ smooth vocals, the reggae/pop hit would have been a clear crowd-pleaser.

As “Cheerleader” carries on hold the top correct the Hot 100, Jonas persists with his tour, hitting Puerto Rico Monday (Aug. 9) and stopping in England later this month. He’ll begin the North American leg from the tour on Sept. 5 in Philadelphia.
