One Direction were made to cancel their show in Northern Ireland on Tuesday night (20Oct15) minutes prior to the concert, as singer Liam Payne had fallen ill.

The Drag Me Down singers were slated to start up a three-night mini-residency on the SSE Belfast Arena as part of these On The Road Again tour, but as a huge number of fans began entering the venue, video screens scattered over the arena showed a communication which read: “The show is cancelled as Liam has had ill, whilst not serious, they are unable to perform tonight.

“Please store your tickets. A further statement is going to be made in the morning. The band apologise for the fans and require Liam better.”

With concertgoers awaiting further confirmation, a representative on the venue later continued stage to repeat what is this great, much towards the audible dismay on the crowd.

BBC Radio reporter Stephen Nolan was with the arena to interview the singers before the stage, but he posted on Twitter.com which he only were able to talk to Louis Tomlinson, as both Niall Horan and Liam were sick and Harry Styles was struggle to come out on account of his recent foot injury. Last week (14Oct15), Liam also was required to pull out of your planned appearance in London in the last minute as a result of illness, when he was anticipated to collect an award for Sexiest Man of the Year from British gay lifestyle magazine Attitude.

A reported 30,000 fans hold tickets to One Direction’s shows in Belfast from 20 to 22 October (15).

The band is nearing the final of their extensive world trek with three dates in Newcastle, England, accompanied by the final three shows in Sheffield in the Motorpoint Arena, where they may take a final bow on 31 October (15).

The boy band will prepare for the making of its fifth studio album, Made in the A.M., on 13 November (15), plus in March (16), start a substantial hiatus to concentrate on their own projects.
